Negombo

Bentota

Just an hour’s drive away from Colombo, Bentota is one of the most established beach resorts in Sri Lanka. Bentota is also a part of the famed stretch of beach called the “Golden Mile”. The area is dotted with many fantastic resorts ranging from five star hotels to rest houses to suit the budget traveler. The sea and adjoining Bentara River provides the opportunity for plenty of water sports such as swimming, diving, jet-skiing, windsurfing and even parasailing.


Hikkaduwa

Trincomalee

The city of Trincomalee is a major port city located on the northeast coast of Sri Lanka, about 270 km from Colombo. The Trincomalee harbour is the fifth largest natural harbour in the world and is accessible to all types of craft in all weathers making it a port of immense strategic importance. Trincomalee also features many outstanding tourist attractions such as Sri Lanka’s largest Dutch fort, the world famous hot water springs, cultural and religious sites and of course the pristine Nilaveli beach area famous for surfing, scuba diving, fishing and whale watching.


Arugam Bay

If you are a surfer Arugam bay is for you, and you may have even already heard of it. Known as one of the top 10 surf destinations in the world, Arugam bay has played host to international surfing competitions. It is a beach side town, fishing village and with waves that surfers dream about. The best surfing season is from April to October.


Pasikuda

Pasikuda beach, recognized as one of safest beaches in Sri lanka is very famous among the travelers who travel around the sri lankan tourism areas. It is located in the eastern coast of Sri Lanka. The nearest city is Batticaloa. Throughout the year the beach is fully crowded with travelers from all around the world. The sea is visualized with crystal clear water. Foreign travelers never miss this beach as it is known as an ideal destination for a sea bath.

Visitors are walking kilo meters in to the sea because the sea is not compared to other beaches of Sri lanka.They play, scream and entertain themselves in the beach. Even small children can dive in the sea. Some try to play with a surfboard.


Mirissa

Sri Lanka has been known by many names over the centuries. During the years under the British occupation is was known as Ceylon and many years before that it was called Serendib, a word now used to describe utter tranquility and relaxation. It is said that Marco Polo visited this tear shaped Island in the 14th century and described it as “undoubtedly the finest island in the world “.

Bentota

Bentota beach is a glorious holiday sun-and-fun playground. Popular for water sports etc. We spend the night in Benthota. Protected from noisy Galle Rd by the sluggish sweep of the Bentota Ganga, the ribbon of golden sand that makes up Bentota beach is a glorious holiday sun-and-fun playground. There’s a good mix of uberluxe resorts and smaller boutique places catering to independent travellers.
There are more such places bordering Aluthgama, a small town on the mouth of an inlet and straddling the main road between Beruwela and Bentota. The town of Aluthgama has a raucous fish market, local shops and the main train station in the area. Induruwa doesn’t really have a centre – it’s spread out along the coast.
